Welcome to ICRA'07

The 2007 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA'07) will be held in Roma, Italy, from 10 to 14 April 2007. This is the first time that ICRA takes place in a European capital. The conference site is the historic building of the Angelicum University, conveniently located in the downtown area. The conference theme is UBIQUITOUS ROBOTICS.

PROGRAM Technical sessions will be held from 11 to 13 April at the conference site, featuring the best 807 papers out of the 1800 submitted, 146 of which are accompanied by video clips, and 20 long video contributions. Presentations are organized in 12 parallel tracks, for a total of 168 sessions (including 2 video sessions). The plenary speakers will be: Alain Berthoz (Collège de France), Ken Goldberg (UC Berkeley), and Katsushi Ikeuchi (University of Tokyo). In addition, 3 Tutorials and 19 Workshops will be hosted on 10 and 14 April at the nearby School of Engineering of the University of Roma "La Sapienza" in the area of San Pietro in Vincoli, close to the Colosseum. A Panel session, the Awards Lunch open to all registrants, and other special events (the Graduate of the Last Decade Lunch, the RAS Open Forum, the BoF Women Lunch, and the IERA'07 Industry Forum) complete the program.

EXHIBITS More than twenty exhibitors will be present with booths at ICRA'07, including robotics and automation companies and publishers. The complete list will soon be available. The exhibition will be open during the three conference days (11 to 13 April) at the Angelicum.

REGISTRATION Both regular and student fees are available, including access to sessions and social events, the conference digest, and the DVD paper/video proceedings.
